I came across this video by NYC/Berlin artist, Adrian Kluger, whose recent project is trash installations aimed at calling attention to art and the environment. Kluger has been doing this by replacing regular trash bags with vividly colored bags (pictured here). Now, don't get me wrong, it's no graffiti and the guy is charging upwards of $800 dollars to do this, but I think it works as urban art, it's even kinda Jeff Koons-y in the childlike delight it immediately elicits. And as easy as it would be to hate on this (Kluger could come off as contrived & what's more kitschy than hot pink polka-dots?), I find myself liking it - even the email where the girl describes the experience like walking in a field of cotton candy.
